…..But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turnin‘ red
Crying’s not for me
Cause I’m never gonna stop the rain by complainin‘
Because I’m free
Nothing’s worrying me. (Burt Bacharach)

Of all the days it had to rain it rained today. So no new pictures from the Ring of Kerry.

We did do a few stops though. First one was Rossbeigh Beach. This is what I love about the Ring. Rolling waves at your feet and green rolling hills behind you.

Next stop Kells Beach, here we made a stop 2 years ago. We drove on and the next stop was Ballycarbery Castle. It is unbelievable what ruins can be found. So exciting to explore.

One adventure that has to wait is a visit to Skellig Michael. We did however visit the Skellig Experience. Here we found out about the monks that lived on Skellig Michael. The last monks left the Island over 800 years ago. Soft eggs!
Then we drove on without a stop to Castlecove, where we stopped to take pictures of Scart House.

Karsten wanted to visit the Kissane Sheep Farm to see the working sheep dogs. Unfortunately we had no exact directions so we ended up in the wrong direction and in Kenmare. Here we finally stopped for „lunch“ ( it was already 3:30). We ate at Davitts. Mmmm.

We then drove on the Ring of Kerry again heading towards Killarney. On the way we passed the sheep farm we were looking for. They were closed anyway, so we didn’t miss anything.

We stopped again at Ladies View and some other viewing points. At one point we hiked 2 km to Torc Waterfalls. On the way back Karsten saw a rabbit, it took me a verrrry long time to see it, but eventually I did. Blind as a bat.
We did see another one in the garden of our hotel, that one was easy!

So I’m calling it a day. Let’s see what tomorrow has in store for us.
