The alarm went off at 5:00 am and we were off and running. Sandwiches were made for the journey,showers taken and bags off into the car. We left Cape Coral at 5:45 am. After an hours drive we stopped at the Waffle House for some breakfast, the food was good, the coffee….let’s say you could see the bottom of the cup. So it wasn’t quite helpful in waking up. We stopped in Brandon where we bought discounted tickets for Busch Gardens. We continued on. Our next stop was to fill up the car and pick up some frappés at Mickey D’s. On the journey we noticed that there was a difference between our arrival time and travel time. It then dawned on us that there is a time difference of an hour. The line is just after Tallahassee. Weird. When we reached Mobile we stopped to look where Airbus has its location. Hubby has a tour of the FAL tomorrow. When we arrived at our hotel, I had to laugh. Hubby booked the same hotel we stayed at 18 years ago when we were on our way to New Orleans. In the evening we had dinner with an Airbus colleague, his wife and daughter. We went to Blue Gill on the causeway. For starters we all shared peel and eat chilled shrimp and sautéed crab claws. Our main course: Eric ate fried alligator and we ate a dirty dozen of blackened shrimp. All I can say is it was yummy!
