We got up early so that Karsten was at the FAL at 7:00 am. We had an excellent breakfast. He was back quicker than expected, so that Eric and I ended up only seeing the front of the Mardi Gras House. We checked out of the hotel and headed straight for the USS Alabama. I’m not that much into warships, but it is absolutely amazing to see the craftsmanship on the ship. The tour could have taken a couple of hours, but since we planned on driving back to Cape Coral, we did a quick tour. We then visited the USS DRUM, which is also onsite. Thankfully I will never have to travel in a submarine. From there we headed back to Cape Coral almost non-stop. We had lunch at McDonalds and for dinner Eric had a Subway sandwich. We arrived at our house in Cape Coral at 9:45, but only after a stop at Publix for some breakfast food.
