Waterville, Ireland

We woke up to a partly cloudy morning, but were able to view our surroundings in daylight. The golf course across the street is being rebuilt and cows settled in front of the standing stones. A rabbit family of three showed up and started munching grass. Sparrows were dodging in and out of the shed next to the house. We headed to our landlords for some breakfast. Karsten had fried eggs, bacon, tomatoes and beans, Eric had French toast with maple syrup and I had a scrambled egg with salmon. Yummy. We then went grocery shopping. Fresh eggs, vegetables, fish for tonight, chicken, toast and Hellmanns mayonnaise. Life without internet is hardly imaginable so we headed for Killarney for a Three SIM card. We also picked up several guides from the tourist info. So getting our plans set for the next days. Hard to believe but our first day is over.

Standing Stones: Eightercua – Waterville, County Kerry, Ireland
This is where history is a choice. The majority say that this is the burial place of Shinann a princess of the Túatha Dé Danann and wife of the Milesian bard Amergin. The others claim that Amrgin lies here. Will we find out?
