Dublin, Irland
Starting off relaxed is the only way to start a vacation. So we left home early enough to have breakfast at the airport. The flight to Dublin was uneventful, but with only two hours flight what should happen?
Picking up rental cars is a different story. The contract says the car is without damage, but not even a glance was neccesary to see that there were several areas on our car that were quite damaged. So it took awhile before we left the carpark.
Luckily our hotel was only 10 minutes from the airport and we are right smack in the middle of Dublin. So we dumped our suitcases and headed for the next 3 so that we have internet in places where no hotel is nearby. Then after some short pondering we headed to the Jameson Distillery. The last time in Midleton, we couldn’t drink much because Karsten had to drive, but today we were on foot…..so…..
We had to wait, so we had an Irish Coffee. When the tour started I was lucky to be chosen for the end whiskey tasting. Comparing a scotch, bourbon and a Jameson.
We rounded the evening off at an Irish Pub (Murrays), with a small meal and a Guiness.
I’m calling it a day. Tomorrow we’re off to Uisneach.
