Cape Coral, FL
Today we decided to find some animals. We went to the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Since it’s been raining so much and so hard the humidity has gone up, we wore long clothes to protect ourselves against mosquitos. The first animal we saw was a woodpecker. We continued on and then saw a raccoon that was my personal highlight. He was so adorable and active. When we walked on we met a volunteer ranger who told us a lot and pointed out a few things to see. At one point we stayed a bit longer and saw a hawk. We met the ranger a bit later because we wanted to see an alligator. She found one and waited for us to catch up in order to show it to us. It came with a package, because up in the cypress trees sat an owl. All in all were were 3 hours at the sanctuary and every minute was worth it. From the sanctuary we drove to Congo River Golf again and played a hurried round of golf as a thunderstorm was nearby. What else can I say. The typical order of places:
1. Karsten
2. Eric
3. Brigitte
