Wet and Windy Ireland

We left our hotel at 9:00 am to take the scenic route up to Bushmills. On the way it was already extremely windy. We arrived at Bushmills in good time for the 12:20 tour.
What was particularly nice is that Bushmills is a grain to glass distillery. So you could smell the malt and the whiskey.
Off course we invested in the 12 year Bushmills, which can only be bought in Bushmills.
We then had lunch at the Smugglers Inn, my men had a Smugglers Burger and I had a Guiness Beef Pie.
We then decided to head for Giants Causeway. Just to see if it was doable with the strong winds and rain. When we arrived and so the troves of people, we pulled on our rain gear and headed off.
It was quite stunning, but I think I have found another reason to come back. It’s probably much more beautiful when the sun is shining. We couldn’t access some areas due to the strong winds.
But with our raingear we were perfectly dressed. Eric enjoyed it immensely. The story of Finn McCool is also quite nice, especially since there are so many stories surrounding the whole area of the causeway.
Before we knew it, it was already after five and we headed for our next B&B in Donegal.
We were very warmly greeted, had some tea and chatted with the husband of the owner. Before we knew it, it was already 9:00pm. So here I am trying to recap the day and upload the pictures from yesterday.
The wifi in the hotel wasn’t that great, so I couldn’t finish of yesterday, yesterday. But I hope to get it done today.
