Expected a leisure day, but I am exhausted

After another not so restful night I got up at 6:30. The second blanket was a help, but still I felt as if my nose was almost frozen off. Later in the morning I found out that Bostonians turn their air conditions on, on the 1st of May no matter what the outside temperature is.

Breakfast was simple, but is at least included in our overnight stay. Then over to our building where we were briefed on what to expect and what to do. After a short introduction round we headed for security in order to have our student id’s printed out.

Then we got on a Trolley that was just for us. Since it was a hop on and stay on, we only saw the sights from the trolley. But it was nice. At least for me to see that I had gotten quite a few of them done yesterday but still so many more that I don’t really know if I will find the time to make it. We had a lunch break at Fanueil Hall, again my hopes of a cheap lunch were shattered. Nine dollars for a simple wrap, another 5 $ for a coffee, whew I never blew that much for a little snack in such a short time. No wonder Boston is number 1 in the most expensive States.

We continued on, I saw Fenway Park and we did get off at Harvard. So I walked the holy grounds of Harvard University. So if our son should ever decide to go there, either I’ll have to rob a bank, win the lottery or hope for him to be more than just a little bit intelligent. At the moment the tuition with boarding is a 75.000€ a year. Take that times 4. Wow!!!

I don’t know if it’s jet lag or just the lack of sleep, after dinner in Chinatown (again another 8$) and a beer in a bar (there go another eight) finally back in the dorm and off to sleep. Tomorrow morning a look at the printouts and hope that I will get by with International Finance and the American market. Not my favorite topics for sure.
