8:38 am (2:38 pm) I’ve been awake since 6:30 got up at 7:15 and took the longest shower in my life in order to thaw a little bit. I haven’t felt so cold in a long time. Shivering is supposed to consume calories, so if I find someplace with a good American breakfast I am going to dig in as I probably lost quite a few last night.

One question to my fellow Americans: Why does the air conditioner always have to be on and set soooooo low. I got up at 2:30 this morning to put on a pair of socks and my travel bath robe. All the while listening to some generator drone on for ages and then finally stopping.

Finally found online a place to have breakfast, but met some fellow students and we had coffee and breakfast together. Afterwards I went off by myself. First stop the New England Aquarium which was fantastic. At least for me at it was I could have stayed longer, just watching the penguins, but without my family it was a little bit lonely with nobody to share the moment with.
Afterwards I enjoyed the sunshine on the docks and watched the planes land at Logan.

I then slowly headed back to the university following the Freedom Trail. I visited the Old State House, the spot of the Boston Massacre, Kings Chapel, Granary Burying Ground and ended up at the Park Street Church right before the evening worship started at 4:00 p.m. I stayed a bit but then headed back to the university where I bumped into the next group that had just arrived. We had coffee together, bought some water etc. and had dinner across the street.

So tomorrow a new day and new impressions.
